Thanks to my golfing friend Bill for helping me find this Festive Forest Surprise. How lovely that people can take the time to decorate trees in the forest to share a little bit of love and kindness to the locals who live here and to fortunate visitors who may find it by accident. It’s great to be living among some wonderful folks. On reviewing my photographs over the last year I was surprised at how many nice images I had of landscapes and seascapes. I decided to create a coffee table photo book for them as well as creating a slide show which is now on the home page of my website here.In a very busy week of photography which included a trip to Wales with the Car Club and a Photo Challenge with friend Andy, I was chuffed to have not one but two submissions accepted into the Leica Fotografie International Gallery.
For our latest photo' challenge, friend Andy nominated 'copper' as the theme, as always to be interpreted as we wish. Here are my creations, with captions.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of joining the Porsche Enthusiasts Group for a three-day trip to Llandrdrod Wells in West Wales. I met up with a small group at Chepstow peace course and we then drove past the Brecons to the very nice Metropole Hotel. There were around 21 cars in total and a very sociable occasion it was over the weekend. Saturdays drive stipulated the compulsory wearing of Christmas Jumpers and I chose to go to Tywyn on the coast. Although very cold and breezy, the sunshine and the weather conditions along with the beautiful scenery provided for some lovely photo' opportunities; here are a few. |
