A fantastic turnout of fourty two Porsches of various models and eras met at the Castle Combe Racing Circuit on a lovely sunny March morning just before the forecasted mist arrived. The venue had opened it's cafe especially for the group and whilst coffee and breakfast was being taken Barrett Sutherland of NINE ONE ONE DETAILING along with R16's Regional Organiser Paul Ganley inspected the cars and duly chose two winners for the 'best turned out' vehicle prizes, apparently these are ones with the cleanest wheel arches! Among the varied models was a lovely 1969 California origin 911 B with increased wheelbase and air cooled flat 6 engine. Parked alongside my own 2019, 911 992, it shows that although there has been 50 years of change, the design stying and aesthetic remain true to the original concept. There was one interloper in a black car that was allowed to park with the group given that he is a Porsche owner.
