TIPEC Drive - Forest of Dean, Ross, Ledbury and Wye Valley
What a great drive, expertly organised by Andy Thompson and Keith Davis. Starting at Aust Services, then crossing the Old Severn Bridge, the group of 15 Porsches of all varieties navigated their way via Chepstow and the A48, into the Forest of Dean for their first stop, a photo shoot outside the historic Littledean Jail. A very warm welcome was received at the Royal Hotel Ross-on-Wye, where we stopped for coffee and bacon butties, before heading off into the Herefordshire countryside towards Ledbury. Andy and Keith had found some great driving roads for us to navigate whilst making a return loop for our next stop at Symonds Yat Rock, know for its breathtaking view of the river wye and several counties. Our final destination for those who needed even more food, was the Anchor Inn next to the spectacular Tintern Abbey, with the drive there running through the beautiful Wye Valley alongside the river. Thanks to everyone who attended, and once again to Andy and Keith for organising a great day of Porsches,People and Places.
