Porsche Boxster 981 GTS

"NATURALLY SIX"

Although initially Porsche aficionados derided the Boxster as the 'poor mans Porsche', since its inception it has now become one of the most respected and popular sports cars throughout that genre of cars. The Boxster also has a very defined profile, and although this has changed over time, Porsche's design ethic of 'evolution' rather than 'revolution', continues to make its shape instantly recognisable. Like the 911, there have been a number of variants, but probably one of the most respected, is the 981 which was launched in 2012.

If the 981 has a USP, it's the fact that it has a 6 cylinder naturally aspirated engine (non-turbo), hence my strap-line "naturally six", and with the enhancements in both performance and styling added to the GTS version, these could become sought after in the future, making this Boxster variant more iconic and collectable, in fact there are only around 380 981 GTS Boxsters registered in the UK according to DVLA records.
