The words I've used above are what motivate me to take photographs. Photography allows me to express my feelings, thoughts, ideas and creativeness and transform these into my visual interpretation. I enjoy seeing beautiful images and am continually impressed by the wonderful work fellow photographers produce and share. I'm always looking to capture natural pictures as well as create effects which can both enhance and stimulate discussion and debate.

Lake Orta

My recent holiday was to Stresa on Lake Maggiore, in the Piedmont region of beautiful Italy. Boat trips to the charming Borromean Islands are a must but there is another wonderful lake close by, Lake Orta, and I took an afternoon's excursion courtesy of an excellent location travel agent based in Stresa, Viaggi Tomassucci. A coach took us from Stresa to the town of Omegna on the Northern end of the lake and from there we travelled in a small boat to the pretty but tiny island of S. Giulio’s which amazingly has a 12th century Basilica. Our next stop was the delightful town of Orta S. Giulio with its quaint cobbled streets. The trip was expertly guided by the charming and humorous Luca and was good value for money. Here are a selection of images from the trip.
