Husky Racing

By chance via Facebook I found out about an event in the Forest where Huskies and Malamute dogs sled race along a specially selected forest track circuit. I went along to see what happens and spend an enjoyable couple of hours trying to snap the dogs and their racing owners. The event was organised by AMWA. They offer a wide variety of events to promote working Malamutes and other sled dog breeds. In addition to race rallies they organise long distance treks, weight pull, back pack schemes and social camping events.
