Villages Of The Forest of Dean

Picture

Tidenham

With only a few hours to spare on this fine Spring morning I decided to take the short drive to Tidenham.  Arriving at the top end of the village I walked down the lane to the church taking in the stunning views across the Severn Estuary.  Tidenham is a village and civil parish in the Forest of Dean of west Gloucestershire, England, adjoining the Welsh border. Tidenham is bounded by the River Wye to the west and the River Severn to the south. Offa's Dyke runs through the western part of the parish, terminating at Sedbury cliff above the River Severn.  Part of the Gloucestershire Way, a  route through the Forest of Dean, Severn Plain and Cotswolds linking the Wye Valley Walk and Offa's Dyke Path National Trail to the Severn, Cotswold, Oxfordshire and Heart of England Ways takes you through the village.
