Welcome to the Our Favourite Places Big Photo Album ©. There are over 9000 people living with dementia in Gloucestershire. Wouldn't it be good if we could use the power of this group to help raise awareness and raise funds for a local organisation which provides help and support in your community?
Our Favourite Places Big Photo Album © is a project supported by the Forest of Dean Dementia Action Alliance and was created with the following objectives:
For just £3 ( or more if you wish), you can upload your picture along with a brief caption as to why the location is special to you, and it will be placed in the ever-growing Our Favourite Places Big Photo Album ©. Just scroll down and click the "UPLOAD YOUR DETAILS' button. Friends and family can quickly find your picture by using the Search Panel.

Our Favourite Places Big Photo Album © is a project supported by the Forest of Dean Dementia Action Alliance and was created with the following objectives:
- To raise much needed funds so that they can continue to provide ongoing advice and support for people diagnosed with dementia, their families and Carers and expand their range of services and activities.
- Encourage people living with dementia and their loved ones or Carers to 'get out and get active' to help improve both physical and mental health.
- Enable people living with dementia and their loved ones to share a photograph of a local place with a caption which says why this place is special to them, as a reminder or a memory.
- To provide the opportunity for people living with dementia to connect and to provide links with support groups and services.

Just scroll down and click the "UPLOAD YOUR DETAILS' button. Friends and family can quickly find your picture by using the Search Panel.

Follow these three easy steps to get Your Favourite Places included

Visit your favourite place with your loved ones, whether it be a local beauty spot where you might choose to take a gentle stroll, your place of worship, or your garden or perhaps your favourite garden centre or National Trust location. Take some pictures and decide whether to be in the picture, or just make a memory of your special place. Once you have decided on your favourite picture, upload it to the website using Step 2.
Once you have your picture, upload it on the website here using the "UPLOAD YOUR DETAILS" button below. Firstly fill in your name and post code, these will be needed to search for your picture later, then upload your image along with your caption as to why this place is special to you. You will then be asked to donate £3 or more if you wish and submit your entry. By submitting you will agree to our terms and conditions which can be found here (link to T's & C's).
Once your submission has been made wait a few moments then head over to the SEARCH HERE button. If you enter your name and post code your photo will now pop up along with your caption. If you just search by post code then your image will appear along with anyone else who are from the same post code area. However, if you search by a 'word', for example 'lake', 'bench', 'dog', then pictures with those words in their caption will also appear. This will allow you to see other wonderful favourite places that have been shared by others.
