Film
It seems that film photography is making somewhat of a comeback, similar to music on vinyl discs; who said analogue was dead?
In February 2015 after serious consideration I decided to be totally self indulgent, bite the bullet and invest in a classic film camera. My Leica M4-P arrived along with some rolls of Kodak Portra and Fuji Superior colour negative film and the challenge now begins to learn how to use a film camera once again.
Using film again is a real challenge as no longer can I just snap away at different exposure settings, and as I won't be able to see the result instantly on an LCD screen, it will force me to be much more considered about all aspects of capturing the photograph.
February 2017 Update. I have just acquired an Olympus OM2 film camera complete with 35-70mm Zuiko zoom lens. The OM system when launched in the early 70's took the market by storm and I always wanted to own one. Although it's been a long time coming, I'm looking forward to testing this classic film camera.
